My new dog is a freak...

...so she fits right in around here.

Last week, my family adopted a friend's dog--a 3 y/o papillon/bichon frise/border collie cross. Just the right size (not small enough to be yippy, not big enough to hog the bed), not too bright but well-behaved, and cute as a button. My kids love her already, and so far she hasn't bit anyone, no matter how much they might deserve it. Thought I would post a couple of pics:

Here we have George about to get a nasty surprise from my 6 y/o son, Blammo. Note her benignly oblivious expression even as a hockey-mask-wearing, machete-wielding maniac bent on mayhem creeps up behind her. As I said, not too bright.

After her close call, she understandably felt the need to suck on her bunny for a while. She was separated from her mother at just 3 or 4 weeks old. Never having been properly weaned, she still feels the urge to suck, so we have a couple of stuffed bunnies she can go to town on. She'll suck them for half an hour sometimes, and fall asleep with the thing in her mouth. Cute and disgusting at the same time.
Ugh, looking at that picture, I can't help but note the hideously untidy state of my house. But never fear. Soon as I win the lottery, I plan to hire a maid. Until then, I'm content to live in total disarray.

Okay, before I began reading what you had to say I was laughing! Your little boy there in the background with his Jason mask is too funny...creepy...but funny! And then I had to laugh more because you noted the hockey mask.

Your new dog, George, is very cute :).

Yeah, my Blammo is a real peach. I picked him up at school one day, he saw me and shouted, "You'll never take me alive!!" and ran away. The other parents were charmed.

He once played all afternoon pretending he was an army general walking around with his enemy's head in a bucket. His favorite threat is "I'll kill ya to death!!" He's his mother's boy, all right.

If he wasn't so cuddly, I'd worry, lol.

George is very cute. And all I can say is "teeny tiny little poops." Yay!

heh, that pic with blammo is really funny. Is there a family resemblance? :P

I'm glad you got a nice, if a bit intellectually challenged, doggy to fill the void your other one left.

Oh and your house is a clean as mine and I only have cats and a husband. No kids or dogs. *sigh*

LOL! The joys of having kids and pets. BTW, my house looks a mess daily, lol. With two little lunatics and a crazy Daschund running rampant, I'm forced to tidy the house atleast three times EVERYDAY!

LOL, Leah, the family resemblance lies in the bizarre psychopathology, heh. I was a bit of a weirdo myself. Oh, wait--I am a bit of a weirdo. Plus, I look great in a hockey mask. :D

See, Barbara, that's where you and I differ. LOL I don't tidy three times a day. Three times a week, maybe. And I try to invite people over every couple of weeks as an excuse to make my house presentable. I just am not good at upkeep. But like most creatures, I'm content to obey my own nature. A messy house is not the worst thing in the world... :)
